100-Man Night 2005

Okay, so we didn't hit our goal of 100 guys on our first annual 100-Man Night, but we made it 2/3rds of the way there as 67 men showed up to enjoy singing Barber Shop Harmony . . . and enjoy it they did!

The event was held January 27, 2005 at the First Baptist Church in Columbia, MO.  The Chordbusters would like to thank Jim Bagby, the director of the Heart of America Chorus from Kansas City, for making the trip to Columbia to lead the evening's festivities.  Also, our thanks go out to Carter Combs and Rich Huyck for making the trip from KC to help lead the Tenor and Baritone sectionals, respectively!

Dr. Tarry Koutz, Director of the Boonslick Chordbusters, leads the guys through an exercise.

The Teaching Quartet for the evening.

Sectionals -- the Basses work on learning the notes.

Sectionals - Jim leads the . . . er . . . Leads through the finer points of the new songs.

Sectionals - The Baritones, always thinking ahead, practice in the round to develop a cohesive sound.

Sectionals - The Tenors practice in lavish comfort.

Everybody on the risers! Performing the two songs that they have learned this evening.
